What does it cost to build training?
Two ways to work: hourly at $70 for advisory and open-ended work, or a fixed price for a defined build, scoped up front so there are no surprises. Independent instructional design advisory usually runs $100 to $150 an hour. We keep ours at $70 because most of the teams we work with are nonprofits and lean shops, and we would rather the budget go to the work. Here is where most projects land. For nonprofits, we are glad to scope to a grant budget and provide the cost detail your funder needs.

Not every engagement ends in a module. Some of our most useful work is helping you decide what to build, hire the right person to build it, or get your own team better at building it themselves.

- Hiring & team-building. Define the role, vet portfolios, run interviews, and pick the right designer, part-time or full-time.
